Here at Golden Paws Dog Training, we strive to
strengthen the bond between dogs and their
owners. We feel that dogs are such an important
part of our lives, but the way to truly enjoy your best
friend is to learn how to communicate effectively
with your dog. Good communication leads to a
more well-behaved pet, because your dog
understands what you want. Equally important in
your relationship with your dog is leadership.
Being a leader will ensure that you and your dog
share a great bond. Being a leader does not mean
that you have to "dominate" your dog, however.
We use positive training methods in our program,
incorporating treats, toys, and games. We
understand how to influence your dog's behavior by
using language that he or she is familiar with.
When a dog thoroughly understands what is
expected of him or her, we will sometimes add
negative markers into the training so that the dog
knows when he or she is incorrect. Negative
markers are NOT punishment; they are simply a
way to let your dog know that he or she is wrong.
Without this feedback, a dog would not understand
the difference between right and wrong.
We offer many training packages, and each one
can be customized to meet your individual needs.

support, because we stand behind our training
methods. We will work with you until you reach your

We offer group classes on an ongoing basis. Classes
include Puppy, Basic, and Intermediate Obedience, Canine
Good Citizen and Therapy Dog, Clicks for Tricks, Beginner
and Intermediate Agility, and Competition Classes. Click

Classes are held at Golden Paws Dog Training in Aurora,
MN. Most classes are 6 weeks long, and each class lasts
for 55 minutes.

Private Lessons
Private Lessons are prefect for those that can't attend a
regularly scheduled class time or for those that need a little
more individualized attention. Content can include anything
from manners and basic obedience to advanced obedience
or agility.
Private lessons are completely customizable. We can meet
at my house or yours. You pick how long you'd like to work
and what you'd like to work on. Just let me know before our
lesson so that I can bring the proper items.

These in-depth private lessons involve several sessions to
assist with your dog's behavioral issues. I travel to your
home to work with your whole family and your dog to ensure

Train and Stay Program
Our exclusive Train and Stay Program is perfect for those
who don't have the time to train their dogs. Dogs live in our
home with our other dogs while learning manners,
obedience, recalls, etc. Click here for more information

In-Home Boarding
Our boarding dogs receive all the attention that our Train
and Stay dogs do, except the training sessions. We are NOT
a boarding kennel! Your dog will be with us throughout the
day, and will be treated like one of our own. We spend time
throughout the day working with all of our boarding dogs on
basic manners such as sit, wait, leave it, and off. Please

dog will receive while in our care.

drop off your dog for our Train & Stay program. The
